Satellite and Fiber Distribution

The Westlake Village Studios is capable of both satellite and fiber High Definition distribution and broadcast. The facility is designed to provide both C band and Ku band satellite transmit and receive of digital and analog video and audio signals.

Stearable 6.3 meter C Band and 3.7 meter Ku band antennas capable of “seeing” the entire conus arc provides both transmit and receive services for the C band system while the Ku system currently provides for downlink only.

Currently we have three “lit’ pieces of 270Mb fiber to the AT&T Hollywood Hub. Two lines are set up to transmit while one is set up to receive.
