Media and Video Control

The Media and Video Control Room supports operational control for multiple channels of HD ingest and playback from SAN storage, digital HD video tape recording and playback and video camera control for up to 10 HD studio cameras and 4 HD robotic camera systems.

The HD video storage system servers provide ingest and playback of digital HD video and audio streams. The storage system is capable of 92 streams of simultaneous HD video with 8 channels of digital audio. The shared storage is comprised of 54 terabytes of enterprise class storage and 54 terabytes of near line storage. The total storage capacity is approximately equivalent to 450 hours of HD media.

Quality assurance video and audio monitoring stations located within the area provide personnel with the ability to adjust and maintain the HD digital video and audio parameters.
